Which route to use

• Phone is fastest for a jurisdiction question — whether this office is even the right one — and for inspection scheduling where no portal exists.
• Email is better for anything you may need in writing later: a scope interpretation, an exemption question, a correction dispute.
• The counter still matters for older paper records and for owner-builder declarations, which many offices will not accept remotely.

Hours

The office lists Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Counter hours for permit intake are often shorter than the building's general opening hours, and inspection request cutoffs are earlier still. Confirm both before making a special trip.

Before you call

Have the parcel number, the property address, the permit number if one exists, and a one-sentence scope of work ready. Permit staff field a very high volume of calls; a specific question with a parcel number attached gets a specific answer, where a general one gets referred back to the website.
